Hi all,
Just had a new windscreen fitted. Without going into it, ended up getting a non-oem one. (It already had a non OEM one when I bought the far 5years ago).
Anyway, the chap at autoglass seemed to have done a good job but now I've got the rain/light sensor error light on the dash.
Got error code 01520.
Everything seems all plugged in as it should. Checked the fuse too.
A quick Google talks about it needing a new gel pad when the screen is replaced. It seems in good order & nothing obviously looks wrong.
Anyone got any ideas what might be up?
Cheers
New Windscreen - rain/light sensor error
Re: New Windscreen - rain/light sensor error
Just incase this helps someone in the future. Needed a new sensor (which comes with gel pad). All working again now.
Don't think it was a coincidence it broke when the new screen was fitted, but not too sure how it got damaged.
The warning only came on with the engine running & lights in Auto.

Hey mate what's the part number and where did you get it from? I've got the same issue with mine, it's intermittent.delroyx wrote:Just incase this helps someone in the future. Needed a new sensor (which comes with gel pad). All working again now.

Autoglass actually supplied with no issues. It was genuine OEM one.
Pretty sure the part number is 8K0955559D.
I think they are quite expensive. It's really easy to take the mirror & the housing off to check.

Thanks mate. Gee they are expensive. Given mine is intermittent I'll have a tinker this weekend to see if I can get it working again.
