Any idea where this goes. Near side in boot, I've got that far...

Trying to find a leak which has left some water in the spare wheel well. Stripped the boot down to try and find it but no signs of where the water has come from but also came across this.

Any help with this (or places to look for the leak!) would be appreciated.

R/H cubby hole . Sits inside it lying flat

I will try and take a picture today as the car is sorn for the winter

Thank you would appreciate it. I've probably spent 2 hours trying to find different ways of fitting it but with a pic it'll take 2 mins

Has the boot seal ever been replaced?

Mine had water in the wheel well. New boot seal sorted it. I believe it's a common issue.

Issues resolved - I’ll start a new post with some more info...
