RS4 B7 - Rear Discs and pads

Post by pad125 » Mon Jun 17, 2019 3:05 pm

Hi everybody,

Not been on here for such a long time hope you're all well.

Need to change the rear stoppers and having done this a while ago I'm tempted to return to OEM discs and pads.

Anybody have a route to a good outlet (my man at the dealers has moved to Porsche very inconsiderate : D )

Site Sponsors Crewe Audi seem keen to get stuck in with prices for forum members I see in a recent post, maybe message them?

Here they have brakes for a pretty good price. Depends on the brand you want of course; https://www.winparts.co.uk/brake-system/c1546.html

Their front kit looks well priced - 2 x Brembo discs + pads for 580

Does anyone know of a cheaper brake set for the rears?

What I mean is, I have VW Phaeton Brakes on the front and they work perfectly. Now it's time to replace the rear discs and pads, so is there an effective retro fit (like the phaeton fronts) that works well on the rears and avoids RS tax? I don't do track days but the usual spirited road driving that these things were made for when everyone else is at home ;)

Cheers in advance...

Have a look into Reyland Motorsport discs . They are around the £510 mark but the bonus is you would only need to replace the disc and not the bell in the future saving a significant cost . In comparison they do discs for the front which utilise your original bells for £340 .That's a fair bit cheaper then buying discs and bells from other sources .

That's cheap . But have never heard of the brand Kinetix
But website looks reputable saying they supply to specialist performance companies.

Thanks guys,

Kinetix don't seem to advertise for the B7 RS4.

So nobody knows of any VW (family) brakes that fit? It's difficult to know who to trust when buying from eBay!
