Brake Caliper removal

Post by PaulT » Thu May 23, 2019 8:55 am

Needing to remove front brake calipers for refurb to sort out corrosion lifting the plates and change discs. Has anyone tried removing the caliper but undoing the 2 radial allen bolts (10mm) that mount the caliper to the hub mounting bracket. The allen bolts are more accessible than the big 21mm bolts on the rear fixing the bracket to the hub upright so thinking easier to get undone. Done some googling but can't find any mention on forum or web.
Thanks for any insight.

No problem doing that at all, only thing I found was that my 10mm Allen keys were slightly loose in that the bolts stuck to them and had to be backed off
