Post by Quango86 » Fri Apr 26, 2019 3:25 pm

Also my be a stupid question but how many of each arms do people change. Top 2 bottom 2 and drop links? I'm also going to change the strut tops try and tighten it right up.

I replaced the lower front arms (4 in total) and drop links with Meyle hd ones about a year ago. No issues so far. Top arms had been replaced by Audi so didn't bother to replace them at the time .

Each ment per side. Was going to just freshen it all up while I was there.

I had everything but the track rod ends replaced with the Meyle kit and all is well. On the plus side lifetime warranty with this kit!

Where did you purchase it from?

https://www.motorpartsni.co.uk/

There website isn't the best but if you give them a ring they should be able to sort you out.

They won't be difficult to find with the usual auto stockists demontweeks etc

re meyle hd-excellent quality

most important thing is when tightening the bolts do it with suspension loaded-weight of car on it
otherwise they get torn apart

and good luck with the upper pinch bolts-they can be a pita :beerchug:

And use a torque wrench
Otherwise you may snap the pinch joint(s)

Not sure if you can get this in the UK, but it works great
Give all threaded joints a shot and let it set for 5-10 minutes

Make sure to get it off before reassembly
