Wavey Lower Door Trim

Post by Owain55 » Fri Mar 22, 2019 11:18 am

I had a look at an RS4 recently and noticed the lower door trim, just above the sills wasn't straight. It looked a bit wavey when looking along the line of the car. It was on both front doors, not on the rears, and to differing extents.

I wondered whether the lower doors were prone to rusting or is just that the trim has been taken off at some point? I'm certain the drivers side door has either been replaced or repaired at some point in it's life.

Common issue.
Water etc gets behind the trim and it delaminates / corrodes causing the ripple.
Easy enough to swap out but about £120 each side (new) + paint.
2 mins to fit.
