I suspect mine has failed or is on it's way so i'm gonna design up some replacement collar & linkage parts to be machined from aluminium. The problem seems to be that the stock plastic parts wear with time and some play develops in the system which the actuator doesn't like.
To be clear it'll be both the linkage arm and the collar which fits over the shaft (if i can figure out how to remove the stock part!)
Would anyone else be in the market for this if i make it available?

Yes, I still run with my inlet flaps so yes, if you start making up longer lasting sets I would be interested.

I’m a new owner but I had a similar thing on my R32. So I’d be interested too.

Is this the same part that 034 motorsport sell?

1/2 of the kit would be yeah.. The issue with theirs is that it still has to match the stock plastic collar on the shaft, if the collar is worn and you only put a new linkage on, you'll still get play in the system which defeats the object. You also then have the added problem that the new metal linkage would then accelerate the wear on the collar.
What I'm doing is developing both matching parts to create a more robust fix - just got to do a little more investigation into how to remove the stock plastic collar from the flap shaft and it'll be good to go.
I'll keep you guys up to date. Thanks for feedback.

Late response, but as a recent new RS owner I’d be interested if you do fabricate them. Have you progressed the development of these?
