Engine Bay Cleaned

Post by Mark Park » Thu Feb 07, 2019 6:18 pm

I was at work and the fork lift driver wanted to see the V8 in all its glory and well he called me a tramp. He them showed me his A6 engine bay and well it was clean as a whiste and he used Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care. I went straight to halford's and got a bottle and started cleaning. I just used a detailing brush and a wet microfiber cloth to get all the grime of. I used the oposite end thats pointy on the brush with the cloth wrapped round for the hard to get in bits and then used the Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care. I also did my tyres with it and its good stuff. Found out i have 4 different tyres and is a run flat and well thats another story....

It was £650 is memory serves me right. A third of what my RS6 one cost.

A new expansion tank from Audi is only about £18 and easy to fit. Makes a big difference to the engine bay.
