Gonna need some when next change pads so started looking.

Any suggestions re what to go for and from whom???

Can see following:

cartech1: £452 for both and ‘2 parts’ which I assume means rotor AND bell (think that’s the relight terminology?).
https://www.cartech-one.co.uk/en/produc ... nt/v-18524

Reyland: £345 but just rotors.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-RS4-B7- ... 1438.l2649

JHM: $595 for rotors only.

Cheers,

That’s a good price for the fronts from Cartech1. Wonder if they do the rears too. I remember when you were send to regularly get both front and rears for c.£400 a set. Seem closer to £600 generally nowadays.

The Reylands are a good option. They only do J hook and slotted designs as say the drilled ones clog and crack, which can be true. They also do a two piece rear which is about £550 from memory, then just get new discs from then on and use the existing bells. They would do you a bell for the fronts two, but they’d be a similar cost (c.£200).

Maybe we could get a group but going on at Reylands?!

I don’t wanna spend more than needed - aka I don’t need to buy a brand name...but I do wanna buy whatever is recommended for the roads.

Any more votes for Cartech1?

If your rears are in good shape, then the Cartech1 are the cheapest option. If the rears will need doing at some point in the near future the Reylands might be better.

DS2500 pads are a favoured option for the road. I’d also do stainless lines and updated fluid at the same time, which will probably add £100ish to the bill, but the car will break a lot better.

As a Cov lad I use AP disks. They're night and day above OEM and as marc1 says with DS2500's you stop on a six pence.

https://www.apracing.com/product_detail ... z14sd.aspx

You need to buy them from a 3rd party, but if you call them they will tell you your nearest stockist. Be aware there is a lead-time of 4 ish weeks sometimes. The bells are re-usable. The cost is compatible with OEM.

^ Cov do you use the AP on the rear too? Also what rear pads? I hear there isn’t a DS2500 option for the B7 rears, but I’m sure there must be?

I use rear OEM discs with Pagid pads. When they'e worn out I'll fit Ferodo DS2500 FCP1655H rears.

So upon checking, it looks like rears are ok so just front rotors/discs needed (and pads, fluid and pipes).

So any reason not to go for Reyland front rotors/discs plus DS2500, 5.1 and braided lines??? Sound good.
