Wheel spacers

Post by MrRSB7 » Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:11 am

Hi

I’ve added spacers to my standard wheels, with the standard tyres....

The car is lowered on bilstein suspension from what I can tell.... a bit too low in my opinion...... now I’ve added the spacers the tyres rub in the arches....

Can i raise the ride height of the suspension?? Is this an easy/inexpensive task?? the wheels look really good I don’t want to lose the spacers.

Many thanks

Fronts a doddle
Rears are a bit more awkward expect skin loss :)

I assume you fitted 10mm spacers ?

If so drop to 8mm problem solved

I’m surprised you can move the car with 20mm
I doubt anyone uses that size

8mm is the desired size

That’s what they recommended in the garage where they powder coated the wheels 😂😂😂

Either they meant 20mm per axle ie 10mm per side or they have no idea.

Yeah..wasn’t planning on it but couldn’t resist. 😂😂😂. Showing above so Op can see that Bils PSS9’s and 8mm’s work ok albeit not sure what drop I’ve got.

This don’t look looks 20mm spacers to be honest. Perhaps it’s 20mm per axle? Where did you buy the spacers?

Yes maybe your right...... the garage did supply and fit, he mentioned 20mm .... I assumed it was 20 each

Looking at the spacer , it’s no way near 20 mm 🤦🏻‍♂️

Why not just remove your spacers, less hassle.
Personally I don't get spacers unless you really need them due to aftermarket wheels.
