Wouldn't have thought so but I had a remap / pre cat delete beforehand.

Glad you are leaving it, it’s a great noise get not a lot of money. I find the noise changes between the front windows down and the back windows down.

Cheers

My car is on the original map, I had straight pipes welded in and no issues at all.

Did they remove anything to weld? Maybe a lamda sensor has been disturbed?

Only way to be sure is to run a scan for error codes.

No codes came up but light out today so kicked it’s ribs in seems fine, the temp was really low the other night it was -3 might have had something to do with it

I did half think of an Xpipe on my original exhaust , i have a valved miltek front pipes with 100 cell race cats only and with centre res section which has a bit of drone from 1800-2k rpm when valves open but have disconnected the rear valves and sealed the vac pipes as its sounds great in any gear even at low revs in streets in town :bigblink: , one issue i have is in the centre res on RH bank the weld has cracked all the way round but the pipe goes into the resonater by a fair amount so isnt separated if you know what i mean but it doesnt leak until i beat the <beep> out of it on the back roads and then as its stainless steel it expands lengthwise so then sounds like a nascar :rocker: , then as soon as i slow down it relaxes and is no leaks :-)

Not unheard of for Milltek welds to go bad. If you're the original owner then Milltek should replace under warranty.

No, i got it second hand about a year old 6 years ago , i could weld it easy as i used do mig welding anyway , thats why i might get a x pipe or weld it up to and some other pipe and weld it up to fit , my pal has a workplace with a 2 post lift but is always busy , not too bothered as its not a big issue , even when its been MOT twice the guy never saw the leak :-) its real tight fit , thats why when i gave it the beans i heard it real loud and went oops what happened , drove back to my pals place and couldnt find the issue , went out for a thrash , it went loud again after about 10 mns on the beans , then stopped and heard the noise , after 5 mins at idle it went quiet so thats how i sussed it out , i saw the weld on the pipe cracked all the way round on the resonator flange on the front side after the cats so with heat expansion on it it increased the length about 3mm , im not bothered , its not going to fall out and sound rearloud and raspy on full beans when expanded :-)
