Draining fuel tank

Post by Tommcole » Sun Nov 25, 2018 3:14 pm

Car has sat for a year , not turned over at all in that time and wondering whether draining the old fuel is a good idea before doing so ?
I don’t mind draining it - but wondering best/how to drain it without syphing it out .
Is there a drain plug anywhere on the tank for example .
Any advice or help would be appreciated 👍🏼 Thanks 😁

Fuel is more stable than it used to be - how much is in there ? I think I would be more inclined to dilute it with a few gallons of fresh than drain it personally.

If you regularly leave the car for a long period then you can buy fuel stabilisers - we used to use these at work for the generators now we just cycle them regularly
