Had a few misfires on startup recently - one or two per cylinder so nothing really serious but it does throw a check engine light. My mechanic swapped the coils around and looks like the issue is following the coils. Swapped them out with known working test coils and so far no issues.
Quick Q - it appears the coils are basically the same PN as a GTI so good news, they are plentiful and not expensive - a rarity for the RS4! My mechanic did mention that the R8 has different coils though - anyone using these on their car and know whether it’s worth upgrading to R8 coils?

Re: Ignition coils
There was a recall on ignition coils some year back. I bought a new set when mine started misfiring and was refunded accordingly
