Headlight bulb upgrade recomendation

So this following my other post regards what I think is an electrical issue, will know I have removed the upgraded lights that I purchased from someone on here last year as they have started melting. And I was never happy ramming all the supplied wires into my headlight cover anyway, so can anyone advise on what bulbs you are all using now, as I don't know which to buy, obviously the brighter and more modern looking the better, I did like the upgrades I had but as I say im just looking to put bulbs back instead of all the wiring loom that came with the other ones, cheers
