Front camber wear with pics

Post by Neilb76 » Sun Sep 30, 2018 6:06 pm

Just removed the alloys to have them all powder coated and noticed the front tyres are fooked. I believe you can not adjust the front. Guess the problem is because of the lowered suspension on B14 suspension.

Is there away to sort this matter out

Yes, fit some adjustable upper control arms. Once fitted you can adjust front camber and stop your tyres wearing out like this.
Personally, I'd go for Stern over 034 as they are easier to adjust once fitted.

Do you have these fitted as I will need to order some asap before the alloys come back

I have had the 034 ones fitted for a few years now with no issues. You have to remove them to adjust which takes more time setting them up intially though.

The Stern ones are just as good but can be adjusted on the car which speeds up the process of getting the suspension alignment right.

Both are cheaper than buying new front tyres often!

The car also has a much nicer steering feel once these are fitted.

I fitted the 034 ones to my B7. As said above they are a pain to adjust as you have to disconnect one side to make an adjustment. However once set up they will perform as well as any other ones. I had no issues with them other than my suspension guy moaning how long it took to make each adjustment.

Often the guys lowering a car and fitting suspensiopn kits dont check allignment . the lower you go the more liklely the toe will be out . TOO low and it will go out as you ride bumps and adjustment cant help this unfortunatley
