I'm doing some digging on this car, does anyone on here know of it? Daytona grey 2007 avant with a dark red/cherry coloured exclusive wingback interior.

DRC is buggered on it, apart from that it looks good. Though is now on 100k and on its original clutch still.

Was for sale not far from me.

I didn't bother going to look as it was £20k (bit steep for one on that mileage) and I don't think I liked the colour of the interior.

Did you go look?

20k?? When was this? surely a while ago.... It is currently up for £16k.

I've spoken to the current owner but I've not gone to see it yet.

Have also dropped you a PM ;)

I think I've found the advert you're talking about, was it on pistonheads being sold as a private sale with some dodgy looking pictures outside a recovery garage or similar? 99k miles and £19500!!! Ridiculous price!

Pm replied to too, thanks.

Probably better with a higher mileage car with all the work done mate.

Clutch
Robnic hardware
Oil cooler
Carbon clean
Etc

There’s £5k in above.

Hi, what is Robnic hardware? Do you mean the clutch line?

He said the clutch feel nice (I'll assess this when I go see it) but no proof of it ever being replaced. IT's had 5 previous owners, surely a couple of them haven't been that sympathetic on the car for it to still be on its original clutch!!

It has had the aux rad done, oil cooler and pipes done, and carbon clean 15k ago with RR done after, so I assume it was done at MRC.

It does need new rear discs, and I've not driven it yet to inspect the suspension linkages for knocks and play etc.

Thanks.

Ring MRC and give them the Reg. They’ll give you the lowdown if they’ve seen the car before.

Yes I thought the same. But I'm not at the stage yet where I'm happy to pay for a HPI check as haven't seen the car yet.

So the current owner has had the DRC replaced with Bilstein B14's by going back to the original trade seller and somehow managing to persuade them that they had to fix it for free! Lucky him! But he's now decided to stick it up for £17k instead of doing a px wtih my car, so not going ahead with it now.

I think its for the best now thinking about it as it could quickly loom a £3k+ bill for clutch and rear discs which are shot! Just seen his advert on autotrader, nice pics, but bit of a BS advert, plus hes hidden the oversprayed tyre pressure Sticker from the pics where its been sprayed. He's bought it 3 weeks ago for 12k, had DRC fixed for free, then flips it for £5k profit! Not bad for a private seller if he can get it! Good luck to him I say!

Yep I've been speaking with him since 3 weeks ago, he hasn't done any of the work, he's just trying to flip it for 4k profit. Its not all audi history, needs rear brakes and clutch will be on borrowed time. Previous owner had it less than a month.

I've come to the conclusion that the colour is a bit too rare for me, I just don't think it's very 'RS' if you know what I mean. I also soke to Nick Johnson today, he made a good point to me about it. Said that there were hardly any made in the colour in the first place, so it goes to show how popular it was, not very...so it may take a while to sell. R&W dealer had it for a good 4+ months for sale at the same price as this guy's trying to get, they can offer finance and warranty, and it still took them a while to shift it. This is who he took it back to to replace the suspension, he sent me pics of the job and one shows some bruising on the wishbone where they've clearly bashed it with a steel hammer, bit bodged in my opinion. This also put me off. The coil overs are also adjusted fully high and it just looks too low for me as i'd be putting my family in it, I'd constantly be bottoming it out on things.

I also am wary about this guy's mechanical sympathy on on owning it, as he always planned to simply shift it on! I think I'd rather buy from a private seller that has personally owned and loved it.
