nice job for next weekend, dont get the car back till sunday its having the aux radiators changed in the bumper. Orderd loads of car detail products and they started to arrive today. Think next sat will spend the whole day on the car cleaning and sand and spray this part.
Next week im going to have a look at getting a carbon clean just as the milage is 125k and dont know if it has been done, in one mind i think it has as the mpg is amazing and looking at some of the mpg some members have stated and there bad before the clean.
Im not to far from manchester anyone know a decent place to get it done ? I would also like to get the car on audi Diagnostic Software to make sure ther is no issues on that side. i had Vag Com but well i left my laptop in my golf and when come back it was missing and so was the glass out of my window.
Anoyone in the greater manchester area and give a trusted garage i can send the car into ?

Cheers mark

If it’s a saloon you have, ive mentioned the price in the previous post. £79 for the plastic one that is to be painted body colour. £114 for the aluminium one as per your second picture.

Go to MRC and get a stage 2 whilst you’re there. It’s worth it. Alternatively go to CM Tuning in Leeds. Chris that owns CM started at MRC and also supply’s their maps. He can do the carbon clean, etc as well as anything else you need for the car with the satisfaction it’s a regarded specialist doing the work. Also very good at bespoke metalwork so can knock up a decent exhaust system, etc.

Why do you want a chrome one anyway? I try to get rid of any chrome on any car (unless it's an old car with proper chrome or stainless steel). I don't think chrome looks right on any modern car. Even more so when there is no other chrome on the car other than those plastic chrome audi badges.
I you're concerned about scratching the plastic once why not have it wrapped with ppf? And the top of the bumper too. Probably cheaper than buying that chrome thing and in my opinion looks miles better.

i want to keep the car as it was when it was made and i think it looks amazing and if you look the car is full of chrome all round the doors and windows. Removing this is like getting your birds tits done and having some botox in the mix and pump up them lips, she is a old beauty why not let her mature with age and respect her for it :kissmyrings:

There is no chrome on an RS (other than the fake chrome badges and the tailpipes if it doesn't have black optics). It is plastic painted as matt aluminium. The chrome is reserved for the A4. Are you fitting the plastic one paint matt alu or actually buying a stainless steel one? I didn't think Audi even made a stainless steel one so you won't be returning it to it's original glory and it won't match the rest of the car. If you meant you want it matt alu then I get that.

Understood, yes matt alu belongs on an RS. And getting these cars back to original is a great idea, modified is less desirable at the moment.
