My RS4 problems
Re: My RS4 problems
I think the engine mount solenoids are the actual engine mounts themselves. From memory they are about £230 each just for the parts, then obviously fitting is the same as most other engine mounts.
Re: My RS4 problems
engine mounts sadly are costly to fit and buy-prone to fail again soon after too...

Re: My RS4 problems
AwesomeGTi Store sell the 034 Motorsport street density engine mounts, they're about half the price of the Audi ones, and you can get a plug-in resistor so you don't get a fault code. I fitted a set of the street density ones in mine and cannot tell any difference at all between the Audi and 034 ones for noise, vibration or harshness.
Re: My RS4 problems
Is it actually the mount failing causing noise and vibration or just an error being flagged that your only going to see when you do a scan ? I had the same code appearing when I was frequently scanning. MRC didn't advise it needed replacing unless I wanted to spend more money and I'm no longer losing sleep over it or scanning as much.
As a new owner like me, I'd suggest living with it, get to know the car and focus on putting other things right and getting car to the level you want it. Unless it is causing vibration etc. then you must address.
It's prob more convenient to address engine mounts when you have other work being carried out like clutch etc.
Enjoy
