Is the unit in a B8 any different or better than a B7 and if it is will it fit ?

Yes the B8's system is a lot different and won't work. It's an entirely new platform called MMI and even that has gone through a few iterations now.
Sepang Blue B8 RS4, MY14, All option packs, B&O, Adv Key, Adapt Cruise, Pan Roof, Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust, + more.
