Worn HVAC buttons fix

For those that have worn HVAC buttons some guy on audisrs has come up with what looks like a very good match . I have heard of people using tamaya model spray paint with good results but can be a bit fiddly getting the logos for the + & - right .
Anyway he has used an external 3d company to make the buttons and inserts for around the £20.00 mark .
Company is called Shapeways.

He's make a fortune if he could do something with the worn out S button the + & - on the steering wheel.
My OCD is struggling with this but equally I'm struggling to part with the £300 or whatever it is to replace!

If no one is doing this on the s button?
I am willing to try sort somthing out with them by removing mine so they can see it, but it wont be just yet.

I had a friend make me some S button
Stickers to use as masks to spray through, haven’t got round to spraying them yet though
