Definately go with the front shocks of the DRC being suspect. A leak in the system at the rear as you describe will damage the system if not fixed immediately due to the low pressure. Was a common issue when the cars were younger and Audi extended the warranty on these components for several years, but obviously not now!!

I had a slight knock and after I got the DRC recharged (it was down to 12 bar) it stopped.

Hi thanks all. How is it recharged and what should the pressure be? Cheers

How long did it last? Surely if it needed a recharge it must be leaking from somewhere?

It should be 16 bar when fully charged.

I had it done in april and it's still ok so far. Time will tell. I think it just seeps past the shock absorber seals slowly over years and years. I think if more people did maintenance on it there would be many more RS4's still with DRC.

F*c**n spiders! Spoke to Audi today.....front 2 damper pipes got splits in. Got a nice bill of £1194 to fit 2 front damper pipes and do a recharge of the drc! Hope that's it!?

Presuming it was just the flexi pipes that connect onto the damper? If so that seems a mental amount to charge although I know the price of the hoses is ridiculous. Think I'd have told them where to go and ditched the drc.

Hi all,
What's the cover they provide for this situation now? More then the usual 3 years? I have a 2012/2013 model.
Thanks...
