Drc metal pipes- possible leak?
Re: Drc metal pipes- possible leak?
Thanks for all the advice . I've decided I'm going to remove the drc and replace with koni dampers and the standard springs. If I was going to replace the metal pipes I would do them all which to be honest I can't justify spending best part of a couple grand on. Also although the dampers and central valves were replaced previously this was 6 years ago so I'm thinking they'll probably need doing again in within the next couple years . Also the fact that it failed without any notice (was fine one-day and then just failed 5mins into a journey the following day worries me). Away on hols for two weeks now (thankfully wasn't taking the rs4 or it would have been a major disaster)so will sort it once I've returned.

I think I would do the same in your shoes mate. I've seen the koni dampers on eBay which seem to have good reviews and look like a good option if you want to keep the ride height standard.

Worries me too, the car is now over 10 years old, still on DRC, it's always in the back of my mind that it will go pop one day... and there's nothing you can do about it
With my black B7
I'm in B7th heaven
And with DRC
My ride is heavenly

Re: Drc metal pipes- possible leak?
Ordered koni dampers yesterday so will get them fitted once I return from holiday. Anyone looking for replacement drc dampers let me know as I'll probably try and sell them on as in good working condition with fairly low mileage on them . Should be v3 as well given they were replaced in 2012.
