I'd like some just for the lack of brake dust
Bear in mind that most of the dust is from the pads, though.

And you'll be disappointed if you expect as huge a difference as suggested by some, I'm afraid.
I disagree. Significantly less brake dust from the ceramics. Not a little bit, a lot.

Massive difference in the amount of brake dust. Negligible so far.

I have no experience with the RS4, but I had use of a Ferrari California with ceramics last year and during the 1,000 km I covered there was barely any brake dust. And of course the wheels were mint because there was no hot bits of metal being thrown at them during braking.

Interesting. I based this upon a friend whose experience with Porsche ceramics was a much smaller reduction in dust than he expected, and OEM parts were Porsche in original according to Chris Harris writing in Autocar of their long-termer.

I'm presuming people aren't buying discs from Audi and being fleeced - so what are we looking at, cost-wise?

Posted this before but is of relevance to this thread.

I like Mr JWW and his posts.

This helped inform me and now we have ceramics.

Biggest initial difference was when I tried to lift the box with the steel brakes to put them into the boot of the car!

Fair play Lady P. I think Mr JWW is probably the most watchable of the current crop of you tubers.

Good content, well filmed and he seems a likeable chap.

Have you any pics of your 'ramics?

Image yep, no dust, even after some braking from 130mph (on a local private test track)

Only thing I found was although there's no brake dust on the front you do still get plenty of dust on the rear alloys. So I still tend to wash all 4 wheels anyway!
They just look cleaner for longer though.

Agree far less brake dust, much less unsprung weight which improves handling and feel plus they don't rust!

You guys seriously feel the difference in the unsprung weight while driving on roads not tracks?

I wouldn't track my RS4, the car is heavy regardless of ceramics or not.

No I don’t lol! But it definitely breaks harder and there is very little brake dust.
