Newbie ring question

Post by Lukes3 » Sun Mar 18, 2018 12:14 pm

Going the ring this year in may,
I know i need all the GB Sticker stuff an drink tester and all that but do i need the Stickers that go on the headlights?
Cant i just change the headlight via VCDS? As i will be taking that with me anyway?
Cheers.

All depends on whether you get pulled. I've been through France three times now and never had a problem. By law though yes you need them in France.

I've been for 15 years and never been stopped for my headlights. I've looked into headlight alignment in my RS4's but never got to the bottom of it. But I go in the summer and never really drive in the dark. I'm always in the pub by then :drink:
When are you going, as I'm trying to organise the annual trip, but having the usual problems aligning a date with my friends ie, I'm having my hair cut that weekend, or I'm having a manicure, or I've got to ask the wife. Bunch of fannies, I might just go by myself.

I've just changed the lights over with VCDS in the past... it's called "Tourist Solution" in the wiki

When we went on the bikes we went via the tunnel. North into Belgium and then to Germany. No toll roads that way
