Brake pad wear indicator

With the brake pad warning being a major fail with the new MOT system thats coming up, is it possible to code out the warning with VCDS? I have ceramics but apparently its common for the sensors to corrode and give off false warnings. This is probably whats happened in my case as the pads look like new. Me and the last few owners have all only been doing 2-3k per year, so pads probably 6 years old, but covered only about 15k.

If it cant be coded out just remove the sensor and put a piece of wire in the plug for the sensor so it will not go open circuit

In America you can buy little plugs to delete the warning. They are pretty cheap and a nice tidy solution but delivery is not cheap.

Seems a bit unreasonable given it is a wear "indicator" rather than a sign they are worn out. A bit like 2mm tyres failing the MOT ?

You can cut the wires off the pads & then solder then together and plug into the car again & that should silence the warning.
