Hi, my parking sensors and in particular the rear ones have gone nuts recently and come on when I’m driving on the motorway and just today when driving home from work they came on and just stayed on, also at the same time these problems happened my reverse lights stay in when driving, I’ve taped up the Rev light and will probably take the bulbs out for now until I can get it fixed but is this problem common? I don’t fancy getting sponged dry for something if it’s a simple fix that I can do myself,
Thanks

Re: Rs4 B7, reverse lights and reverse parking sensors gone mad??
Think this is most likely the reverse switch on the gearbox. Pretty sure this has been discussed on here before and it is relatively cheap and easy to replace.
Re: Rs4 B7, reverse lights and reverse parking sensors gone mad??
I would suggest the same thing as something is telling the car you are in reverse when you are not.
Re: Rs4 B7, reverse lights and reverse parking sensors gone mad??
Just literally been thinking that myself, do you know if it’s a big job doing it? Or a thread on how to do it yourself?
Re: Rs4 B7, reverse lights and reverse parking sensors gone mad??
Do a search, it's been discussed before. I recall it being simple, the switch is screwed into the gearbox I think.
Re: Rs4 B7, reverse lights and reverse parking sensors gone mad??
This has happened to me last week
Re: Rs4 B7, reverse lights and reverse parking sensors gone mad??
Mine has been doing it for a couple of weeks too, bloody annoying and slightly worrying for drivers behind too.
