Teetering on BUY- RS4 B7
Re: Teetering on BUY- RS4 B7
No black optics!
Re: Teetering on BUY- RS4 B7
Ah suppose. I like my auto wipers; lights I can live without, black optics I'm not a fan of but each to their own I guess!
Although now I notice the headliner is light grey. Was that dependant on body colour or was it optional?

Re: Teetering on BUY- RS4 B7
I’m sorry I searched up and down it must have sold
Re: Teetering on BUY- RS4 B7
Ideally you'd buy one with the known issues already sorted, regardless of mileage ie oil cooler, DRC, aux rad etc
The trick is to be patient and take your time until the right one shows up

With my black B7

And with DRC

This looks a good buy to me, worth asking the questions do you think?
I can't find the 19k Sprint Blue Scotland one?

Quite a large bonnet gap, ask about that / front damagenbc wrote:https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3525678487

Drivers seat bolster worn, but expected for 80k
Overall, seems legit, youd likely get it for 17, almost half the price of the other and same driving experience..
These engines, if maintained, go on for ever

Still a long time between servicing, 2 years in some cases with the current owner.nbc wrote: ↑Sun Mar 04, 2018 9:52 pmhttps://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3525678487

I found the Bramshaw one while browsing a few weeks ago. Looks great but was just confused as to how it had silver optics but black roof rails. Thought it was all or nothing. No show stopper I know but worth asking the question

Large bonnet gap is not necessarily an issue. In order to fit the tow eye and strap the car down correctly the bumper gap ends up being quite large to avoid damaging the adjusters so if it has been on a dyno at somepoint it has likely just not been reset to the correct height.S4WON wrote: ↑Sun Mar 04, 2018 9:58 pmQuite a large bonnet gap, ask about that / front damagenbc wrote:https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3525678487

I quite like silver RS4's, fairly uncommon colour. I think the darker of the two (Avus I think) looks slightly better but each to their own.
My main concern would be condition of the bodywork above all else as these cars are getting on a bit now. Have a really good look inside the front and rear arches and around the rear subframe area. With lower mileage you would hope these would be in better condition but not always the case.
No satnav or tech pack would not bother me, I can remember to switch lights and wipers on and off. You could always retro-fit these anyway.
If you do find a car in good condition I would consider getting it undersealed properly.

Don’t bother looking at the 30k sprint blue one on autotrader. It has a huge gap in history I went to look at this one before buying mine. It was also bought off a forum member quite a few years ago
