It was Clive. Are you the guy with the black RS4 just next door? He mentioned you a few times if soA20LEE wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2018 1:09 pmWho did you speak to? John or Clive, I can go have a word with them as their my work neighboursCalUmB7 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2018 10:46 amFunny you should say that. Moto-Craft is the first place I went and they didn't want to know about it & said I'd ruin it.A20LEE wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2018 10:45 am
I had mine painted as Moto-craft in Pudsey Leeds. I’d also recommend Jason Buckley in Retford.
Greg Howell, seen good and bad from him but without knowing if it was a cheap or thorough job good it’s hard to comment on bodyshop work as your paying for time. More time the better the job
Yeah that would be me! They are always busy but do a job properly prep wise. Always fully strip a car down, a full respray their way is massive. I could twist Clive’s arm if you wanted them to do it, I’d imagine it’s the colour change putting them off as it’s a lot more work. You could still make it look awesome without changing the colour. With only 66k miles OEM mint maybe as better look. Lowered on 20” Rotors and titanium details to harden up the styling
That's a very kind offer but for now I'll leave it, thanks. I still haven't even decided if I want to do it or not yet.A20LEE wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2018 2:22 pmYeah that would be me! Wheels and mirrors, combined with black optics will look super aggressiveCalUmB7 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2018 2:59 pmThat's a very kind offer but for now I'll leave it, thanks. What are titanium details?
That looks good but very expensive.maars wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2018 10:58 pmIf you're after a mirror finish, this guy is incredible:

That looks like a very thorough job, I'm impressed! Chris Gregory @ Knaresborough got back to me with the official quote of £6.3k, much more reasonable than the 10k they guestimated at the time. £2k of that is paint though, which seems rather on the steep side??
