. I have a lot more mods planned such as KW coilovers, JCWeldFab exhaust, and eventually a supercharger.

This is where I would leave it !! no if ahah or buts
Car will look great with these mods alone enjoy 👍🏻

I had mine painted as Moto-craft in Pudsey Leeds. I’d also recommend Jason Buckley in Retford.

Greg Howell, seen good and bad from him but without knowing if it was a cheap or thorough job good it’s hard to comment on bodyshop work as your paying for time. More time the better the job
Funny you should say that. Moto-Craft is the first place I went and they didn't want to know about it & said I'd ruin it.
Who did you speak to? John or Clive, I can go have a word with them as their my work neighbours
It was Clive. Are you the guy with the black RS4 just next door? He mentioned you a few times if so :)

For a business owner I was surprised at how keen Clive was to talk himself out of some business tbh.

Yeah that would be me! They are always busy but do a job properly prep wise. Always fully strip a car down, a full respray their way is massive. I could twist Clive’s arm if you wanted them to do it, I’d imagine it’s the colour change putting them off as it’s a lot more work. You could still make it look awesome without changing the colour. With only 66k miles OEM mint maybe as better look. Lowered on 20” Rotors and titanium details to harden up the styling

That's a very kind offer but for now I'll leave it, thanks. I still haven't even decided if I want to do it or not yet.

What are titanium details?

Wheels and mirrors, combined with black optics will look super aggressive

I quite like the look of this - clear satin wrap over silver:

That looks like a very thorough job, I'm impressed! Chris Gregory @ Knaresborough got back to me with the official quote of £6.3k, much more reasonable than the 10k they guestimated at the time. £2k of that is paint though, which seems rather on the steep side??

I'd say that's about right. I remember speaking to Greg Howell about a respray and from memory I was told 6.5k. You definitely get what you pay for and i'd be heart broken if i skimped and got something that looks like <beep> and then had to do it again.

I have no idea what paint is worth but like I say, total price is about right.

I just done a colour change on my b7 and it cost me under 3k. This included glass out, all the door shuts everything... Cant complain about the finish too. Image
