What next for my RS?
Hey guys,
Had my B7 about six months now, just after some opinions on what I should spend the next bit of cash on! Without telling the wife. It's a phantom black saloon, 2007, 67k miles. Full Audi history, DRC repair before I bought it etc. I've spent a bit on some repairs, and getting the car to the standard I want. So far I've done this;
Repairs/Maintenance:
Four new tyres, wheel refurb
All new front lower and upper arms. New hub bearing carriers. New wheel bearings. New tie rod ends.
New discs and pads front and rear
Brake fluid service
Carbon clean
Mods/Personal preferences:
Milltek non valved and non res exhaust
LED interior lights
New brushed aluminium interior bits and badges
New floor mats with RS4 emblem before they became impossible to find
BMC air filter
I'm sure there's loads more, but she's at a fairly good standard now and I'm happy with her. I've got a big service coming up in about 800 miles so I'm gonna keep some cash aside for that.
What do you think I should do next? I've still got the hideous phone holder, and I'm struggling to source a centre console that will fit, can someone point me towards one? I'm also dying for a nice carbon front splitter but these seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. Also need to find out why my rear heated seats don't work.
All ideas welcomed

Get on the phone to MRC to get a stage 2 map with the pre-cats gutted booked in. Whilst waiting for your appointment order and fit a few centre console from TPS, just over £100.
Drive to MRC, wait a while. Drive home, you won't stop grinning.

Thanks mate. I was looking at the services on the MRC site and was considering a stage 2 map with the radiator delete and cold air feed. Just seems like ALOT of money for that!

I don't have the radiator delete and cold air feed, but do have stage 2 with pre-cats gutted. Has it done in early Jan along with a carbon clean. Best money I have ever spent, no regrets. Always get out of the car with a smile on my face.

Yes MRC map.
Have you had your oil cooler and pipes checked? One to keep an eye on and keep some money aside for it.

Checked before purchase and were fine. I'm aware that I'll need cash for that and some coilovers eventually!

Re: What next for my RS?
I had momentarily, but I'm not an audiophile in any way and I'm happy with the sound that comes out at the moment. Although there are stages where I wish I could play music through Bluetooth from my phone.
Re: What next for my RS?
You can do that with a Bluetooth dongle that plugs into the iPhone lead on the Audi AMI unit (should be able to find one second hand).tommchowat wrote:I had momentarily, but I'm not an audiophile in any way and I'm happy with the sound that comes out at the moment. Alternatively- a lot of aftermarket headunits support music over Bluetooth.

And I've seen a few aftermarket stereos but I want to keep the car as original as possible.
