MRC stage 2 crackle and pop map

Guys how many of you are running this map on here?
I expected a lot more from it, thinking it would be like most newer cars and popping and crackling all over. But it’s more on downshifts and overrun. It’s confusing the life out of me! Someone please advise the proper way to get it working!

Mike Iv noticed if revving with clutch down there are some crazy bangs and pops and flames. Do you know if it’s healthy or if it’s meant to do that?

Maybe because you have a decat downpipe and mrc stage 2 remap

Think I need a good chat with Doug to clear this up guys. Yes it has decat downpipes non res too. I’m more worried about my exhaust flaps blowing off haha!

You don’t need them anyway.

Did you get launch control mapped in? That gives you crazy pops with the clutch in.

I didn’t opt for the crackle map as thought I’d prefer the natural overrun burble it makes and heel and toe downshift if wanting a pop, etc.

Aha Marc, he said to me when revving with the clutch down it made loud bangs and he does have flat shift so probably has launch too.

Yes guys has LC and FS still haven’t launched it yet, but with the clutch down the pops and bangs are unreal. Marc1 il PM you a video of the pops bangs and flames! I can’t figure out how to upload videos on here

Reading Marcs post it seems this is normal for when revving with the clutch down. Is that a big issue though?

Nice one buddy. If the video is on the device you are using to post on the forum, you just need to scroll down a bit in the ‘post reply’ section and click on the attachment tab and then just select the photo/video from your photo stream.

But yeah, send me a vid,

Launch it, it’s great. Hooks up nicely. You I’ll likely get a flame on gear change if you don’t have cats. LC is adjustable too, but I thought it would be best to leave around the 4K mark.
