Haha loving this thread....feeling everyone’s love and dilemma. Out in my B5 once every couple of weeks at best and usually shorter journeys too but I can’t imagine being in anything else. Still love it all these years in. 92k total now and I add maybe 6k a year at best....but for sure they’re a 6k I wouldn’t part with.

Yes me too, barely get time to drive it but really don’t want to let it go... especially having put another £7k into it recently!

What you had done Marc ?

I drive mine once a week on average, commute to work via train. Love having it on the weekend, couldn't do with a slow car!

Everyone has different circumstances though. If you can't jsutify the outlay then move it on and let someone else love it. :thumb:
I’d be happy with the one day a week
Mine is More like once every 3 month at moment lol
I Don’t need the money from a sale & car is top notch so does not cost just the usual ... ins /tax
It is More of a waste ,that got me thinking 🤔 Some weeks would pull it out of garage wash put it back hahah

the world is changing week by week-dont miss the chance to drive petrol big cc cars while you can-in a few years they will be a thing of the past, probably sooner than we all think
I agree with the above, and was the reason I bought mine over 2yrs ago, notching up 5k since . The engine note is a masterclass, it's my pride & joy and wouldn't sell it unless I had to.

What you had done Marc ?
All front suspension arm, inner and outer track rod ends, CV’s, top mounts (whatever rubber components I could find to refresh), rear arms too, running KW’s and H&R ARB’s so had it corner balanced and geo done, plus concealed way to adjust damping without removing struts. H&R spacers and Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Car runs cold air intake, single mass flywheel, gutted pre cats and milltek so went with the full fat carbon clean rather than basic, full fat stage 2 manifold (so flaps removed, locked runners, everything ported) and MRC stage 2 map with flat shift and launch control - basically everything offered for the B7 short of the supercharger (which I have looked at twice now too, haha). Detail and ceramic coating.

That’s about all I can remember from memory.

I planned to keep it indefinitely, hence going to town. I have a spreadsheet, lol. Have spent about £17k total on this one excluding purchase. It’s a great, great car. Am just selling the house and moving into rented for now as our sellers don’t appear to be quite as motivated as we would like. Hence the thought to sell, plus working pretty much flat out at the moment, so no time to drive it.

Although, due to the fact there are a hell of a lot of dog rough cars out there (plus launch of the B9, and the new model always impacts previous gen models) prices are pretty low at the moment, which is encouraging more people that need to sell to let theirs go cheaper too.

I don’t need to sell it,but doesn’t make sense to keep it right now. If I can bring myself to advertise it and find a buyer that appreciates a well cared for car I might sell. I refuse to let it go for peanuts though, so might end up storing it away. That will please the Mrs...

i owned mine for 4 and a half years and dont expect i covered 3k miles in that time. its a car i always wanted and loved it. i have 4 motorbikes, 2 young children,a house with lots of work needed ,a family car and i work half a mile from home so always walk in. it really was a toy sat in the garage that i cherished. i sold it in october after going thru the same thoughts, boy what a mistake i miss it like crazy and just dont feel the same now its not here. i,m gonna be back in one or something very similar before the years out. if i could go back 4 months it would have never been sold. good luck whatever you decide.

Done 35K in 7 years with a fair chunk on Top Gear type jaunts in Europe - approx. 110,000 now. It's a keeper but testing my commitment as it's currently at Unit20 having disgraced itself by a cylinder eating something it shouldn't - hoping for some news from its sickbed this week - finger nails receding in trepidation

I've had mine for over 10 years and have been toying about selling it for about a year now. I just can't bring myself to go through with it, because I know I'll regret it.
