Engine for sale

I’ll m going to sell my engine. Once I get the front end stripped down so I can see it I’ll be able to see if there is any damage to it. As it is on my drive and not really moveable do you think it would reasonable to ask the buyer to remove the engine for a discount in the price? I guess the good news is it can just be cut out without worrying about damaging the front end.
What are your thoughts?

I’d leave them to do it mate, wouldn’t take them long with an engine crane. Are you going to try salvage as much as u can or just let them cut through it all?

Hi Jon, I'm assuming gearbox/prop/exhaust is still attached to engine, so that would be an issue for me getting it out? I would imagine not a pleasant job to do on the floor on axle stands, if possible at all? I would think it needs to go on a ramp to remove the above mentioned parts first, before you can get the engine out, hope that helps.

Yes I’ll remove what I can but there isn’t much on the front end which is salvageable.

I might have a go at getting it up off the floor on sleepers. I want the exhaust so will remove that and then have a go out getting the prop and box down. Like you say that could make it a bit easier for someone.

Sleepers seems like the way to go, you can relax working underneath knowing car's not going anywhere, rather than 4 axle stands, or worse 4 axle stands made in China lol!
One thing for sure your sitting on a little goldmine of spares for sale or to keep for your new car!

Wheels, mirrors and steering wheel are an easy transfer to my new one so not unless the new one comes with all of it. Once I have a new one there will be all sorts for sale but not at the moment. I won’t need two of everything but I want to make sure I keep the best of everything. I’ll let you all know once anything is for sale.
