Me personally, I would stick to the OEM oil(s) from Audi for gearbox/rear diff, it's about £110 for the two different types of oil & quantity's required, ok you can get less expensive all-in-one oil elsewhere but let's be honest you're probably only going to change it once.

You will need gulf competition oil 75w/90, 3.2L for the gearbox and 0.9L for the diff.
Can buy from Opie. The oil will work in diff and gearbox.

I have recently changed the gearbox and diff oil too and I went with VW/Audi factory oil.

You may want to research a bit more on user feedback on other Audi forums for aftermarket gear box oil. I understand most people don't have issues using aftermarket gear box oil. However, I read a few negative comments (eg. poor shifting, more notchy feel etc) using aftermarket gearbox oil that meet factory specifications. I suspect for those negative user feedback, there might be other factors involve (e.g. gearbox condition and wear out synchro etc) and might not be just due to aftermarket gearbox oil itself.

BTW, I found that it would be MUCH cheaper to order the factory oil from VW dealer than Audi dealer. The part number is the same.

2 weeks ago I just changed mine to Redline MT90 and noticed smoother shifting than the Audi recommended stuff which I had put in there recently too.

I also run it in another vehicle and noticed significantly better shifting.

Its very good, many will recommend it also and its spec matches our vehicles oil requirements.
