I have not even bought the RS yet, picking that up on the 9th, i have not paid a deposit or anything but the lad has held it for me for a while now.

I just keep running scenarios of someone wanting to bloody pinch it even worse break into the house and who knows what could happen, I could be looking into this to much and getting myself all wound up, but from stories i hear who would not be, However i am sure plenty ppl have no problem and enjoy the ownership of the car, Do you lot still worry now and do whe wifes know of what could happen etc

And I thought I was paranoid.

Am i being to much or just stating what "could happen" its one of the cars i have always wanted but still like my unbroken sleep

Don't worry about it and enjoy it
Just leave keys downstairs were they can find them easy lol if they want it they will take it

You worry too much! The reason why you hear this stories is because you are on the Audi forum. Join AMG, BMW, jag. Etc to learn that it can happen to any high performance motor.
Upgrade the alarm, leave keys downstairs. Best advice I can give!
RS is totally worth it!

Reading forums will always get you worried, simply because people post when there is a problem or when something bad happens, seeking help.

I felt the same when I had my M3, I read alot of horror stories on forums about people whose SMG pumps had given up, and I got worried about mine. But then I thought, think about how many owners pumps haven't gone compared to those that have, and the amount of people that have an M3 running well who aren't even on forums.

Same applies here. Think how many people who own an RS4 haven't had theirs nicked compared to those that have.

If you're that worried about it, just don't get one, pretty simple.

As said, it’s all performance cars. The thing is, they’re not new now and there’s richer pickings to be had. I love my car but I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. I would howeve kick the living poo poo out of anyone I cought touching it.

Here’s the thing, coming from somewhere where car crime is relative low and insurance is only the equivalent of say £200 per year and then moving back to the Uk it’s bound to get you worried. I can understand the OP concern.
