Hi all,
Changed the exhaust yesterday, i installed a Milltek resonated valved system. Really happy with the result, the car sounds as it should have all along, especially on start-ups. It even pops and cracks sometimes!

was far nicer with resonated centres

Good timing, as I'm looking for one of these. Would you advise on resonated?
Also, I see the non-valved systems are about a grand. The valved systems are closer to 1600 quid. How do they justify that price hike?

would go resonated-non res horribly boomy at town speeds or slower plodding around
as for the valves -most leave them open anyway-"a nice to have " though but not for £600 lol

Yip i like my res valved milly , have 100 cell single cats and disable the valves too as they are open all the time so its nice and deep growl around town , when coasting on a slight downhill even in town , tiny touch on the pedal and its crackling and burbling , most people in my town know the car and i get a thumbs up when i go past and headturners look at it when i go past , puts a smile on my face all the time

Yeah would totally advise on resonated, but it all comes down to individual taste in the end. Same thing for the valves. Mine is just a weekend car, so i have them open most of the time, but it's nice to be able to "shut it up" a bit when you just want to cruise, or on longer journeys.
Personally i'm really happy with the result. The car now on "Normal" mode is as loud as it used to be on "S" mode with the stock exhaust, and a bit louder when the valves are open.
Huge difference is on start-ups, especially from cold, where it sounds like a proper beast now!!

I ot mine from a guy and he gave me the non res section too as he had it on his one for 3 days and hated the internal boom so took them off and got res centre section, mentioned that to me and said try it if you like so i did , sounded ace externally but inside the car was horrendous boom around town had to be running in second gear all the time or 4 th below boom and anytime some accel was done from a junction it was deafening to me , so 2 days later i swapped to Res centre section and was nice , , but with valves disabled so open all the time there is a bit or resonance from 1800-2000 but not that annoying , be nice to have room to fit the additional pipes on the exhaust which harmonises the pulses to remove the resonace , its done a lot across the pond on American V8'shttps://
