Hi all, is it possible to view oil cooler pipes through the front bumper by eye, or using a bore scope camera? Or is the only way bumper off/undertray off, thanks in advance!

undertray or bumper off really
i asked the same question first time i bought[on my second now]
first one had the metal parts pretty well rusted through on the pipe crimps
the car i have now seems to have had them replaced as completely mint-i greased them too while i had undertray off changing oil

Thanks Arthur, viewing a car tomorrow, won't obviously be taking car apart to check,
will have a good look through paperwork to see if it's been addressed, if I like the car and take it further, I'll probably get an independent inspection.

well it can be a 1k job as a preventative measure if fittings are corroded onto cooler so worth checking it over
if it fails and a pipe bursts badly it could be catastrophic

Yes it's such a crucial part/component of engine that should have been made better, but it is what it is, unfortunately. Will certainly be the first thing to check upon me buying an RS4 if I couldn't get it checked out before, 1k for oil cooler/pipes is one thing but an engine rebuild/replacement doesn't bear thinking about, very costly and time consuming!
