I have my car booked in with unit 20 for some maintenance work, i am also replacing my 4 shocks for bilstein shocks along side front and rear h&r arbs any suggestions keeping my stock suspension just changing the shocks getting rid of the DRC my car has hit 100k although it is only 1 shock which can be clunky over speed bumps i rather get rid of this whole DRC system too many negative reviews

DRC is great when working but costly to fix and that's the issue, one shock goes and you replace it but the rest are just ticking time bombs waiting to hit your wallet. Replacing them in my eyes is the only option and coilovers is the way to go.

Replacing the DRC is a no brainer , costly and un reliable generally , Noted comments regarding Coil over , Please remember that the coil over kits are very popular with the boy racer who wants to slam the car to the ground , they arent always ideal for larger Saloon cars with a daily purpose , Please understand that coil over kits are rated at low stance to extra low stance . In short this means STANDARD height is NOT achievable . The kits generally for RS4 are 30 mm drop to 50mm drop . Many people will consider 30 mm already to be too much , H&R springs for the car are only 20 mm and that already makes a big dent in available travel . Standard sport Shocks will sort the handling and keep the height as it is , . Its also cheaper than buying a coil over kit which just might not be to your liking . If the track is where the car will end uo then Coil over is a good choice. My ideal set up for the car H&R anti roll, KONI damping adjustable shocks ( can be adjusted to suit the higher un sprung mass on the car ) , and H&R lowering springs if a lower stance is desired .
