Audi Ceramic Brakes

Hi,

I have an Audi RS4 trade in that has a set of Audi Ceramics at the front in good condition with lots of pad let. They have been on the car for approximately 5k miles.

I am looking to sell the car in a few months and had some questions.

a) Do the Audi Ceramics affect resale value or does it not matter that much?

b) Is there a market for used Audi Ceramics and would it be worthwhile cashing in on them, putting a new set of standard brakes on and keeping the difference?

Regards

Jono

Definitely remove and sell separately. They don’t command a great deal attached to the car but sold separately they do. I would be interested in them.

The car has been parked for a month I have these pics at the moment, will try to get it on a ramp in the next week remove the wheels and take better pics if there is defo interest.

Please pm me offers as I need to check cost of getting standard brakes back on too (was thinking get a set of calipers and buy new standard pads and discs to keep with vehicle service history)

I genuinely have no idea what these ones are worth, I can see from eBay they range from 4-8k used so assuming somewhere in the middle?

Pics attached

Thanks

Whilst very rare I'd be surprised if anyone would pay 6 to 8k for a set on a car worth 16k to 20k.

Mike, as I said I have no clue as to what a "good" price for them is, I am just going by ebay listings.

If I can get myself a a good standard set and a few k on top then the sale is worth it, if im barely going to cover the costs of going back to standard then will leave them on.

Ideally wouldn't mind swapping for standard calipers and then cash on top so can buy a new set of OEM pads and discs and some money in the bank!

They used to go for about 3k from memory. I'm not trying to lower your price as I don't want to buy them, might be worth more now but I'd say as the value of the car drops then so does the value of items such as these.

I could meet you in a car park somewhere and we can swap them out for my steel setup, discs have about 300 miles on them.

If they have only been on for 5k then put the original steels back on and sell the 'ramics.

They don't look in great nick but after a bit of a clean up you should get 2-2.5k I reckon. Was the car parked in a puddle for a month?

£1800 here......the ones on ebay have been for sale for months if not years...not moving at the prices they are asking!!!!!if you get better pics might be able to get a bit more.

I'd try selling the car with them on first, it'll stand out a bit from all of the others.

If no luck, then real world values would be about £2k + a good condition steel setup swap. Or £3k outright sale. Forget the eBay advertised values; they've been like that for years and never sell.

I don’t think they would add £2-2.5k sale value to the car, so if i were you id sell them separately.

I also would buy them off you, cash waiting
