Hi All,
Wanting to get my bucket seats reupholstered and looking for a link showing how to remove the base frame, plastic seat backs and dismantling- can anyone help. Also found a link some time ago to source oem replacement leather but could not find the code mentioned. Has anyone had theirs done with the oem style leather and recommend someone to do it. Thanks

I had my secondhand bucket seats retrimmed from black to silver silk nappa to match the rest of the interior.
The trimmer needed the complete seats in order to adjust and modify the fit of the new leather sections he had made up. These seats are quite intricate and difficult to work on.
I had Mike at Auto Interiors in London do mine because thats were the second hand seats were located. He also managed to supply genuine Audi leather.
To be honest, there are a few really good trimmers in the U.K., just pick the one closest to you.

Thanks for the response mate. Could do with a company further north though I'm in Yorkshire. Can any other members help? Really want to stick with the Audi leather. I think it's called soul black and in sunlight you can see a slight metallic fleck

The rear plastic cover cannot be removed. I had mine retrimmed recently by plush automotive who did an incredible job. I was going to send the backs off to be used to mould in carbon but I was told it wasn't possible and I'd have to send off the whole seat.
I went for a mix of black leather and alcantara with silver stitching. Much much better look then than charcoal Audi went with in my opinion.
I think you will be able to remove the cover yourself though. It just clips in at the back, just move around up clipping then pull it off.
Hard to see the colour in the pics.
