Just doing my oil change today and I noticed the flexi joints have obviously rubbed on speed humps over the years and looking a bit hairy.
Has anybody else had them repaired , or is it a downpipe replacement only job?

Had this on my old B5. My local garage ordered in some new flexi sections and welded them in for me. Cost around £150 for both I think. I left them for a good few years in the hairy state, and only changed them when they started blowing.

I asked MRC about mine and they said there was no issue with them as they were and left them.

i no longer need mine so maybe able to sell you mine for a decent offer if your still after some ? mine are literally 2 weeks old but used for only a week as the car hasnt been used much since they were fitted. I will have to confirm i still have them though, will check by tonight.
