Headlight Auto Leveling Unit - Front

Long time no post. Hello all :bigwave:

Headlights out of range post coilover installation. Rather than bending the front leveling unit (which I've tried), I would much prefer to washer it up or similar.

Has anyone successfully done this? Most interested to know how much you had to take it up to bring headlights back into range.

Cheers :beerchug:

Aren't there self-adjusting screws at the top of each plastic headlight cover that you can turn to adjust the beam height?

Yes, you are quite right, they are for adjusting the headlight aim. The aim is wound right down as far as it will go however, the leveling unit is fighting against it almost.

After lowering ride height, the auto-leveling controller has gone out with its normal operating window which produces a visible and audible warning every 5 minutes or so. Most people as I understand it, bend the unit to take account of new ride height. I have bent mine but it still not within range.

See bottom left of image...

Just a little update.

Had several failed attempts to fix this correctly. Bending, washers, nuts, etc.

A quick rummage through the fuse list and thankfully it's on its own circuit. Fuse 10 (IIRC) removed and problem solved.

I may have a problem with this as well, did you just pull the fuse from the fuse panel?

Do you have the dynamic headlights, presume pulling the fuse for leveling also means the headlights won't track right and left
