Jumped in car this morning and was greeted by that dreaded beep.... main headlight bulb has gone
Audi have quoted me just shy of £600 to change the two..

What have other people done on here? Used different bulbs that the ones Audi supply?

Contact trups on here, he runs a company called em tuning which handles all bulbs, led kit etc. He'll be able to sort you out for much less than that. Good guy and people are very happy with his products.

You need D1S Bulbs, make sure you go with a decent make like philips or Osram and you will be fine! - Bumper off job to change the bulbs out

I did look under bonnet this morning and thought it looked a pig of a job.
I'll source some bulbs, pick and dry day and do it myself. Can't believe Audi want 600 supply and fit

Its not that hard once you have done it once... Good DIY on here if you have a quick search...

I just bought some...philips..£120 delivered..

Was a right nightmare to change...bumper off..light removal took ages..as the holes did not line up to loosen the screws...

Got my car back together finally...after 5 days. Needed a new bracket as the old nut snapped in it.. and a new light as it broke when putting the new bulb in..so be very gental...

Now have a light warning...been told Vagcom will sort this...so fingers crossed...

Good luck

Thanks mate
So it says main left headlight bulb has gone on dashboard, but the running light on that side has stopped too, does it run off the main headlight bulb? Haven't got car with me at mo so can't check
