Hey all.

I currently have a multifunction steering wheel and was hoping to fit a TT RS wheel or R8. TT RS are hard to find so stumbled along this.

Does anyone know if this would be a direct plug and play with my own and also what airbags suit. The guy said he can get the airbag that came new with my car also

Must be the FBSW airbag as the multifunction is not round.

I got mine from http://hazzydayz.com with Airbag, they also provided an RS4 logo and the correct loom to ensure all buttons work as intended.
They will take back your old wheel too.

Thanks Dave
£895 + VAT tho could be near double to what this ebay guy is charging.
But then at least I know it fits.

Is the R8 wheel any thicker that the RS4? Why do people switch to the TT/R8 wheels?

I would personally go for a Lambo wheel. I was looking at them a while ago, get MRC to map the car in permanent sport mode and away you go....... They would look really cool in an RS4 and in the price range of the above. Just switch the air bag over or sell it to help pay for it.

TT-RS and 'late' Gen 1 R8 wheels are the same thickness as the RS4.

It's the early R8, TT-S and S-line wheels which are thinner, hence trying to find the above 2. I guess that you could always get a thinner one re-trimmed to be thicker.

Thanks Sam. So people go for these as the RS4 FBSW are difficult to find?

No, I have a MFSW the round one, so I want to change to a flat bottom.
THe TT RS and R8 1st gen are straight fit. Just cant seem to find an airbag.

Does anyone know what airbag would fit?

RS4 FBSW owners go for them to give extra button functionality on the steering wheel, such as volume control. Or the round steering wheel owners change to them for the FBSW aspect whilst retaining the multifunction capability as Hector said.

Personally, I'm not sure the angular nature of the new Lambo one would look good in an RS4. For something different you could look at getting Neidfaktors button conversion for the TTRS/R8 wheels, apparently they can get them to actually have a function. Might even be able to work on a standard RS4 FBSW?

Can anyone tell me what airbag would be needed to suit the R8 wheel or TT RS wheel to straight fit to my existing wiring?? Please.
