Terrible radio signal

I'm determined to get to the bottom of this. It's always been bad but has got worse since I installed LED DRL's. (I'll deal with that later) I have an A4 too and it's crap in that, I had an S4 before the RS and it was crap in that also.

So...has anyone fixed this. I've read hours of threads about a split in the rubber radio amplifier in the roof by the back window.

Mine had no splits but could still be faulty I guess.

Has anyone got a good signal and willing to let me try their part in mine before I shell out a couple of hundred to see if it fixes it?

Anyone got any suggestions to fix this?

Strange. Like I said I deal with that later. Happy to remove them for now, fix this signal issue and then install them again to see what happens.

So anyone got a good radio signal or replaced their antenna?

Yes trups not all the time but if I pull up when it's crackling if I turn the drl off the quality is better then if turn on it goes back to bad again
I haven't fitted the beefed up cancellers yet BTW
The only time I get an error is when I start the car work the drl off
But 90 percent of the time drl is on when I start there car anyway so don't get any errors this way

The cancellers wont stop the radio interference, the cancellers are for the error system but as you say its only when your drls are off on start up which will sort that.

As this wasn't a report on Batch 1 I need to try a few things as when you go on sidelight mode I take it its back to normal?

I need the info so I can relay back to the factory but am trying a few things this week to see if it helps as the jist of it is that as standard it was fine but not great, with my DRL kit it wipes it out.?

I'm happy to help with this. Let's get back to 'normal' and I'll work with you on this.

So we have established the signal is worse with the DRL on. I'd still like to get to a descent signal pre DRLs.

Does anyone have a good radio signal (FM) or does it keep loosing signal, if you click off that station and back again it is good for a bit and then goes back to being crackly?

My radio signal is good, happy to help if I can. Where are you located?

I've suffered from bad radio signal in various cars over the past and the culprit has always been something drawing power that wasn't installed on the car in the factory. i.e something plugged into a cig lighter, or an amplifier etc etc.
