Hi guys, so I have a kenwood reversing camera that I want fit. I was thinking of trying to mount it under the saloon boot handle but was wondering what others have done.
Cheers.

Look up Mikefish, he's done something similar.

I think he went with a new handle with inbuilt camera that ran to the rnse unit.

Correct except it was an aftermarket camera i.e. with RCA/ phono connections on the end rather than an Audi specific plug so I could attach it to an Alpine head unit rather than RNS-E.
I looked at various different options (from memory so might be slightly out);
OEM Q7 camera; very expensive and you lose the actual key lock on the boot and wrong connections for aftermarket head unit.
Aftermarket camera and handle of various configurations;
In then end I found one from the far east on ebay that was VERY cheap and replaced the whole boot panel including number light plate holder, lock, and handle and had the right connections on it. It managed t osqueeze everything in by making the actual handle part a little narrower than normal. Not the best quality camera in the world but neither are OEM audi ones, but it worked a treat!

Was hoping that this would be as simple as running the AV wire through the car and plugging into rear of head unit.
Then sourcing power and trigger for camera.
Just pulled the head unit out to find no Av.
