Fitting Vossen CV4

Post by emwe » Fri Mar 24, 2017 12:25 am

Hello

I am very new to wheel and tire sizes, offsets etc and i cant find the exact answers so i thought id try here.

I have been offered to buy a set of Vossen CV4 including tires for a veeery good price. They are 20" 10,5, dont know the ET yet though.. Tires are 285x30x20.

Should i just forget about it for my RS4 B7 2006? Or is it at all possible to fit them? The car has stock suspension.

Thankfull for any info on this, :beerchug:

10.5 is wide but I thinks it's been done but the tyres will have to go and I think you will need a stretched tyre setup to make it work providing the offset is correct and clears the callipers.

have you thought about emailing Vossen them selves for info?

That's a blast from the past. Near on 3 years that the wheels have been on. Just about to send them off for a refurb in a couple of weeks.

There were some doubters that said it couldn't be done. Anything is possible with persistence

That's for sure but I'm not sure that cost out was a fair balance to cost and defiantly not a bolt on.

Wasn't a bolt on but you'd be surprised how little work it needed to make it happen.

There was/is a set of Vossen's for sale on eBay about the same size
I think tyres were a stretched set up with 20mm spaces front I guess

Thanks for the replys! I took the RS4 and went to test the wheels but there was noooway in the front atleast where we tried them on.

I would prefer to not use spacers, arch mods etc. Just want a rather clean fit and no rubbing:P Asking a bit to much maybe when i want 20" wheels.

But could anyone recommend a size for wheels and tyres that would work bolt on with oem suspension? I was wondering if 10x20 with 255-265/30/20 might work? Maybe 10s are to wide without spacers?

Very thankful for help on this since i have no experience with anything but stock wheels.

I ran 10.5x20" vossen CV1 ET30, I had 8mm spacers front to clear brakes and 10mm rear to have them sitting correctly in comparison.

265x30x20 tyres

They were aggressive, but I was on air suspension, on stock I don't think they will work, a little too aggressive I'm afraid

Looked amazing though!!!

Looks great but on stock suspension like you said, it probably wont work hehe. My idea is 20x10, 255/30/20. If anyone has more pictures of a setup like that it would be veeery helpful:)
