Private sale or trade it? Feedback?

Post by EddyPee » Thu Feb 23, 2017 10:28 pm

At a cross roads of selling my RS4 or trading it in. Either way it has to go as an upcoming move means I'll need a diesel.

This car has been my pride and joy and has been maintained regardless of cost. I paid to keep it in warranty up until Nov 2016 and everything it has needed has been done.

I'd love it to go to a good home and and enthusiast. I'd take a quick sale for the right price rather than a duff trade in value.

So the details
2007, unmodified, 71k miles, 5 owners( I am 5th) bought by me at 24k miles from slough Audi
Avus silver, FSBW, recaro sports seats, silver Alu trim, rear privacy glass, 6 cd changer, sat nav, TV, auto dim mirrors, auto boot lid, technology pack, TV, adaptive headlights, isofix, heated front and rear seats, RS4 mats

HPI Clear, no oustanding finance, RS04 plate included,

Full Audi service history with receipts for every Audi visit I have done, 19'receipts
Audi Stockport 17.4k Aug 08
Audi London 23k Apr 2010
Audi London 24k Feb 2011
Audi Basingstoke 27k Apr 2012
Audi camberley 35k mar 2013
Audi Basingstoke 42k Apr 2014
Audi Basingstoke 53k Apr 2015
Audi Basingstoke 62k mar 2016

The good
Totally standard, never modified
Never tracked, raced or drag stripped or been to the ring
Always hand cleaned by me
DRC Replaced prior to my ownership
Inlet manifold replaced by Audi at 65k miles oct 2016
Decoke done by Audi at 65k when above done
MOT Passed with no advisories oct 2016
Steering pump and pump drive replaced by Audi 37k Jun 2013
Front discs and pads replaced 47k Aug 2014
Brake sensors replaced Audi 50k Nov 2014
Oil cooler and pipes replaced Audi camberley 35k mar 2013
All coils replaced by Audi under warranty Apr 2013
Oil sump replaced Audi 51k Feb 2015
Broken coil spring replaced Audi Apr 2016
Health checked and dyno'd by MRC at 33k 383ps 442nm
5.5k rpm kick very much evident and always has been
Always run on super unleaded
All original service books, handbook owners manual and sat nav guide in original folder
2 keys
Original Audi folder and original Audi pricing and spec guide and range brochure

The bad
Very minor scrape on reap bumper where some clown reversed in to it, circa £300 to fix
A couple of wheels might benefit a refurb but generally good condition
Very minor door ding where some clown opened their door on it
I think one exhaust flap is stuck open but that's no bad thing
Usual ring marks on gear knob

I was thinking of listing around 18k but would take a sensible offer? Any thoughts?

Strong history with all the major work done in my ownership!

Does look nice. It's worth £17-18k to the right private buyer but will take a while.

£16,995 will see it go in a week I would think
