Squeaking rear suspension?

I have noticed over the last month that the rear suspension on my B7 saloon (39k miles) seems to be squeaking. I guess I need to get underneath it and liberally spray some WD40 or spray grease over various bits of suspension, etc.
Is this common? Any tips other than what I'm planning?

Guess it's not common then. Think I'll stick to plan A and spray some oil over all of the suspension.

Check your rear springs . I wouldn't cover everything in WD40 as it just makes a mess . Also check rear anti roll bar .
I had a squeaking noise and it turned out to be my O/S rear caliper weird I know . Took the pads out gave it all a clean and it solved the annoying noise

Cheers - I'll give it a go.
