Hi Guys,

As some of you know I have recently acquired the stunning machine below and I have some work that I need to arrange on the car.

I need to get one shock absorber replaced and I need the drc lines replaced as well and I wondered if anyone other than Audi have the tools to repressurize the system once the work is done. Happy to use Audi if I need to just wondered if there are any good independents that have the equipment as I know its a bit of a specialist's job.

Cheers

Brooke

There are plenty of independent garages that have the equipment, might be an idea to tell us where youre located bud.

Is keeping the troublesome drc that important ? Change one , then another will go, and on and on, now these arent a good will replacement is it really worth the cost ? Most cars had replacements and they are already failing

Is that still the case, I thought the latest generation of dampers was OK?

They are, both my B7's had the latest generation DRC fitted with no issues before selling. One had covered circa 50k and the other around 20k on the new versions.

Exactly the point i was trying to make, there are other options out there other than the drc (i still have mine ftr) ,but when the time comes i will not be replacing for expensive and troublesome oem drc, its a false economy, its only my opinion but they will.... as anything ever be trouble free

MRC obviously, or my local guys that take care of the day to day stuff on my 4 and 6, SJB Autotech in Basingstoke, pretty sure they told me they have the DRC line kit now.
