8mm front and 10mm rear or maybe 10 and 12 if you want them to really stick out but risk some rubbing.
Personally I always use the H&R hub entries ones. Speak to Virdee or revolution, they'll sort you out with the exact right size as there are so many different options.

8 and 10 sound prefect I assume u don't get problems once installed they just make the rs4 take on another mean looking dimension I think. Thanks for the advice

Depends how low your car is, what brand and size of tyre etc but most people are ok with 8 and 10mm.

I've got 10mm front and rear from ECS Tuning on stock suspension and OEM wheels, and think it looks fine. 8 and 10 would work, too.

ECS is in america. You will end up paying import duty and VAT (plus a handling charge). They are readily available in the UK.

@MikeFish is right, ECS Tuning is US-based. They came with my car when I bought it. Guessing you can find local sources and avoid import charges. Just mentioned on here, to give you some idea that, for me, 10/10 works fine.

I've gone 15mm on the rear and had no problem, not lowered though but still pretty low at the rear.
